Milton, Ontario
My last two days was spent with member of TOVP which stands for “Temple of Vedic Planetarium.” It was indeed pleasant for me passing time with an American, an English-man and a South Indian. And I being Canadian by birth made it interesting. I shouldn’t forget our driver - Indresh Gaur, a Punjabi Canadian. We are a good chemistry. Our cause is one and we all happen to be more accurately spirits from a deeper point of view. Culturally we are bonded by Krishna.
One sign of true unity is when a group of people who get together and have a picnic like the one we had at Niagara Falls. Our excellent meal attracted our friends with wings-gulls and geese. Signs in many parks in Canada warn against feeding such guys. Most foods that are processed, such as part of our meal, are not that fit for human consumption, what to speak of the creatures of the wilderness. Truly the birds, animals and other wildlife do better with what raw nature provides.
At the home of Vimla in Niagara I pulled out a large lambsquaters plant that I spotted. This no chemical (and hopefully no dog urine dynamic) is just excellent, raw or cooked. I prefer the greens of the plant be prepared with potatoes. Of course I am hinting to my hosts that they might try to please the walking monk with stuff I like when I travel.
In Milton’s Iskcon Centre I insisted with my servers, “No sugar ! No fries ! No sharks !”
“Sharks” is an expression to indicate, “Nothing spicy-hot.” I know the meal prepared was executed with heaps of love.
